Paranormal Romance Author Finalist in ’50 Great Writers’ Contest
I’m thrilled to announce I have reached the finalist phase in the 2016 ‘50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ Book Awards. Being a paranormal romance author makes this contest special, as I am competing against a wide range of genres in fiction and non. This opportunity came as a result of my appearance on The Authors Show (an interview about ‘Heart of the Druae’). I was chosen as one of the best from a large number of authors through a public voting process.
As one of the 50 winners from the 2015 contest, it’s again an honor and a thrill to make the finalist round this year, based on my essay “Why I Became a Writer.” I write to empower my readers emotionally and intellectually by drawing from a base of science and spirituality–the stuff of life–and that, I believe, is what fuels my readers’ enthusiasm. If you read my essay, you’ll know I also write because I have all these characters in my head, and writing is the only way to liberate them into public view.
Someone once said, ‘Fiction is the little lie.’ My romance and adventure books speak from the heart and soul, telling the big truth. As a paranormal romance book author, I write about reincarnated lovers, time traveling souls, even an epic battle against ancient powers. My books are fast paced, engaging and enlightening, written with modern elements as well as scenes from the ancient past. I take my readers through worlds ancient and contemporary for adventures of the heart, mind, and spirit, creating stories no one else could write.
If you would like to vote for me in the 2016 ’50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading’ contest, you can access my entry and vote at The Authors Show here.
